An email newsletter initiative of CSIRO Education, Science by Email is sent out to over 30,000 subscribers, including students, teachers and the general public, every week.
The brief was to come up with a fresh, updated design while still retaining the same character of the old newsletter – to be more inviting to new subscribers, but with the same branding and flavour regular readers currently enjoy.
Working with CSIRO Education I developed an updated visual style for the newsletter, making more use of horizontal space and enhancing the colour palette to give the newsletter a more dynamic feel. All regular content remains the same, but with more thought given to page layout and heading hierarchy.
